1000 Possums
1982 | Lithograph | Edition size 22 | Paper size 14 x 19
My mother lived in rural Missouri and often talked about possums killing her chickens. After her death, we found a possum skull attached to a coat hanger in her garage. Our speculation is that she heard a noise in the chicken house, used a coat hanger to get the possum strike, then dispatched it, probably with a spade. Bob found the possum skull interesting and we took it home with us. He subsequently did many drawings and prints from this possum skull image. MJK
